In the fourth quarter of 2020, the Android investing and financial management app landscape in Latin America showcased notable user engagement, as reflected in the data provided by Sensor Tower. Here we delve into the performance of the top five applications in this category.

IQ Option – Trading Platform experienced a gradual decline in downloads, starting the quarter with 223K and ending with 136K. Despite this downward trend, weekly active users remained relatively high, beginning at 1.34M and closing the quarter at 1.15M.

For XP Investimentos, downloads fluctuated but ended on a high note, with the initial 29K downloads in the last week of September rising to 49K by the end of December. Active users peaked at 533K in the third week of December, demonstrating strong user retention.

The Investing.com: Stock Market app saw a steady revenue stream, starting the quarter with $560 and reaching $676 by the end of December. Downloads dipped to a low of 17K in late November but recovered to 24K by year-end. Weekly active users also showed resilience, increasing from 421K to 439K throughout the quarter.

Libertex: Trade Stocks & Forex had a varied quarter, with downloads seeing a dip in October but recovering to 23K by December. Active users saw a similar trend, with an initial dip but a rise to 70K active users by the end of the quarter.

Lastly, IQ Forex Broker demonstrated significant growth in downloads, starting at 3K and surging to 22K by the final week of December. Weekly active users followed suit, increasing from 11K at the start of the quarter to 46K in the last week.
